This morning watering the plants I noticed that the Patio Orange has set our first tomato. The plant has had some leaf roll — caused, I think, by the herbicide that was spread on the complex lawn. Anyway it’s exciting to see a tomato. I took these pictures Sunday morning: [thumb:230:l][thumb:229:l][thumb:228:l][thumb:227:l][thumb:226:l][thumb:225:l][thumb:224:l][newline] Since then the Thai […]

More planting
[thumb:223:l][thumb:222:l][newline] Today I removed the roots from the old Swiss Chard and planted a couple patio orange tomatoes in that container next to our watermelon. In the other container I had taken out the arugula and spinach, leaving the Swiss Chard and Peas. I’ve added a cage and planted a bunch of peas. It’s obvious […]
Garden update

I’ve started new seeds today for a new cucumber, sunflower, carrots, and radish. [thumb:192:l] The new cucumber seed is in the pot. I’ll keep it inside until it gets bigger. Hopefully there won’t be any more freezes.[newline] More garden pictures [thumb:195:l][thumb:194:l][thumb:191:l][thumb:193:l]
Garden update

I think we’ll have to start over with the cucumber. [thumb:188:l][thumb:187:l][thumb:186:l][newline] Other than that loss the rest of the garden is growing well. We have a […]
