Sun Frog painting
Here’s an oil painting of the Sun Frog. Well, sort of. I actually created it using the oil effect in GIMP – GNU Image Manipulation Program. It makes a nice wallpaper image for your desktop.

Kate took this picture of the frog on the 5th centered in the sunflower bud. In other garden news: We’ve lost a small sunflower and the last Siletz tomato to the same weak-trunk problem. I don’t know if pests are responsible or what.
Frog!
Watering the plants this morning I saw a welcome visitor to our garden – a little green frog! We saw several last year in the porch garden. I’m glad to see that at least one has come back this year. He’s sitting up near the top of the sunflower.
